Field Trips
We like to work with educators & group leaders to personalize farm visits. Please let us know what your group is studying, if you are working on building your own gardens or are more interested in nature on the farm. Our farm is unique as the farm is built into nature with ponds, seasonal creeks and large overstory trees, you won’t feel like you’re in the middle of the city.
We can accommodate visits on Wednesday afternoons or Thursday and Saturday mornings. Groups from 10-75 can be accommodated with large groups broken up into small groups to rotate around our farm stations…
GARDEN • KITCHEN • NATURE • ART • FARM ANIMALS
A visit on the farm might look like…
Learning about how bees carry pollen and how butterflies drink nectar and why these and other pollinators are so important. We may plant a seedling to be taken home or seedlings to be taken to your group garden. In the kitchen, it could be an activity such as juicing, cooking or baking from the harvest. In nature, we like to play the web of life game to show the kids how regenerative agriculture uses nature to help the farm and take a tour. If we do art, making a take home bird feeder, or making and painting with mud paints and/or making nature paint brushes are some of the favorites. We can also do messy activities such as helping to build our cobb classroom. Our farm has seasonal creeks and ponds, so depending on the time of year, we add activities around the creeks and ponds. Your group will of course visit and feed our farm animals including pigs, sheep, goats, chickens & ducks. More complex subject matters can be arranged as well.
Our farm visits last anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the group with pricing starting at $20/person.
We look forward to working with you to design a fun and unique farm experience for you and your group!
