Background Checks and Training for Staff
All teachers and staff members who work directly with or near children must complete a California Live Scan background check before beginning work in the program. This process includes fingerprinting and screening through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) databases.
Background clearances are carefully reviewed prior to employment, and records are maintained on file in compliance with program standards.
In addition to the Live Scan requirement, every staff member participates in comprehensive onboarding training focused on child safety, supervision guidelines, and farm-specific program policies.
