Our Team
Young Pioneers is led by a team of caring group leaders, station instructors, and support staff who love working with children in an outdoor farm environment.
All team members who work directly with or near children complete a California Live Scan background check before beginning work in the program. This process includes fingerprinting and screening through the California Department of Justice and FBI databases.
In addition to background clearances, our team participates in onboarding and training focused on child safety, supervision expectations, outdoor program routines, emergency procedures, and farm-specific policies.
Our group leaders stay with their assigned groups throughout the morning, while station instructors guide hands-on enrichment activities in areas such as garden, kitchen, nature, music, science, homestead, and art.
